Women’s Game Changer Award, Celebrating Sports Leadership, Presented by Gameday Spirit
Gameday Spirit is proud to introduce the Women’s Game Changer Award, a new initiative designed to honor exceptional women who have made a transformative impact in the world of sports. This award celebrates leadership, innovation, and dedication to breaking barriers while inspiring the next generation of sport leaders and innovators.
The award will be presented on February 6, 2025, during the University of Illinois Women’s Basketball Women Win In Orange Game against Northwestern at the State Farm Center. This special event coincides with National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD), observed nationwide on February 5, 2025.
Nomination Process:
Who Can Be Nominated:
Women who have demonstrated significant contributions to sports as athletes, coaches, administrators, business leaders, or advocates within the region* or University of Illinois sports community**.
- How to Nominate: Submit nomination on form below (5-10 minutes).
- Key Required Field: Include a 500-100 word write up on why the nominee is a GAME CHANGER!
- Deadline: Nominations extended to January 24, 2025, at 11:59 PM CST.
- *Region includes Central Illinois, Chicago Metro, Indianapolis Metro, St. Louis Metro areas.
- ** U of I Community includes any student, alumni, employee or administrator.
